Statement of Support for Joint Venture With Alta and Local Breeders
The Pembrokeshire Agricultural Society and Local Breeders of Crymych have developed a truly unique partnership designed to create value for the Pembrokeshire County Show in 2007. Through this unique partnership the dairy farmers of South Wales can directly support the Pembrokeshire County Show in 2007 through an exciting semen offer; unique to the show and to the dairy farmers.
Local Breeders will create a fund to support the County Show in 2007 through allocating £1:00 of each unit sold from their Elite Bull “Braedale Icefyre” which is sold between 1st October 2006 and 30th June 2007 to the farmers of South Wales.
“Braedale Icefyre” is our most popular and most balanced bull in our line up, he combines very high production with +ve fat%, low scc and is the No.1 bull for Type in Australia. Icefyre is from a world renowned cow family, excelling in the strength traits and is suitable for heifers,” states Mervyn James, owner of Local Breeders. “As a Welshman and as a Welsh business we want to support local Welsh agriculture and with the support of the dairy farmers of South Wales we can all help strengthen the 2007 Pembrokeshire County Show.
Malcolm Crossman of The Pembrokeshire County Show added, “ this is a new turning point in that we are directly linked to a local company’s performance which can benefit everyone concerned.
With that in mind the relationship stands for and supports the following points:
This partnership aligns itself to our mission statement of which the objects are “for the improvement and encouragement of agriculture”.
- To support The County Show through the involvement of local businesses and produce as much as possible.
- To use investment strategies to benefit the development of the showground.
- To share in the responsibilities and rewards whilst developing the trust to promote the partnership base.
- To share in a common vision which may give rise to new ideas and goals.
